Distracted Driving
On January 1, 2019, the Ontario government launched a tough new law in a bid to curb distracting driving. This law has strict consequences for even first-time distracted driving offenders, and in turn can have a significant impact on insurance rates for those charged with distracted driving.  You can read more about distracted driving in Ontario on the Government of Ontario website.

Winter Driving and the Winter Tire Discount
Safe winter driving isn’t just good practice, but it can also save you money on car insurance.  Most insurance companies will offer a discount on auto policies when the client has purchased and installed winter tires during the regular cold season. It is important to note that all-season tires do not qualify for this discount – an approved winter tire will have a snowflake on a peaked mountain logo to qualify.

If you have questions about how to apply this discount, contact one of our knowledgeable insurance brokers and they will be happy to go over any questions you may have.
